UGA Football: Three-Time Honoree Brock Bowers Headlines Bulldog All-Americans

ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia junior tight end Brock Bowers earned unanimous consensus All-America honors for the first time and became just the third Bulldog in school history to be a three-time First Team All-American, according to announcements over the last week.

Bowers, who is the first two-time winner of the Mackey Award (2022-23), joins David Pollack (2002-04) and Herschel Walker (1980-82) as the school’s only three-time First Team All-Americans to headline Georgia’s group of 2023 All-Americans.

Bowers was named a First Team All-American by Walter Camp, Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), AP, American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), CBS Sports,  Sports Illustrated, ESPN, Sporting News and The Athletic.

UGA Football: Georgia Bulldogs 2024 Schedule Released With Road Games to Alabama and Texas

ATHENS, Ga. — Next year’s Georgia football schedule was released on the 2024 Southeastern Conference Football Schedule Reveal show on ESPN and the SEC Network on Wednesday night.

Georgia’s schedule is highlighted by the first trip to Austin since 1958 as Bulldogs will face Texas on Oct. 19.  This will mark the first season for both Texas and Oklahoma in the SEC as the league expands to 16 teams.

In addition to its SEC opener against Kentucky in Lexington, Ky., on Sept. 14, Georgia returns to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to face Alabama on Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.  The Bulldogs’ first home conference game will arrive on Oct. 5 against Auburn.  Georgia is slated to conclude its SEC regular season schedule at Ole Miss on Nov. 9, marking the team’s first trip to Oxford, Miss., since 2016.
