ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia Athletic Association has created LeGAcy, a comprehensive Name, Image and Likeness program. LeGAcy will provide education, social media tools and support that will assist student-athletes in maximizing their personal brand, platforms, development and opportunities.
“As NIL was developing, we considered how we could bolster the programming and services we already offered to help our student-athletes navigate the changing landscape,” J. Reid Parker Director of Athletics Josh Brooks said. “With The Georgia Way already in place, we brought in Altius Sports Partners to offer NIL-specific education, and INFLCR, which provides industry-leading social media tools, to bolster and continue to grow our LeGAcy program.”
Georgia Athletics’ newest partner, INFLCR is a content delivery system that allows student-athletes access to media, photography, videos and other content that will bolster their online presence. Through the INFLCR mobile app, they can seamlessly share and post content to their personal social media platforms. The app also provides analytics that measure audience engagement for student-athletes and the Georgia brand that will impact attendance, recruiting, fundraising and other strategic goals.

May we all one day, in whatever it is we devote ourselves to with great passion and determination, have a day like Stetson Bennett IV had Saturday afternoon at Sanford Stadium.
Great isn’t strong enough. Magical feels pretty close. Beautiful also covers it quite well, especially if you’re a Georgia football fan and an admirer of Bennett and what he’s done in his Bulldog career.
After starting the first five games for Georgia last season, Bennett, now a senior backup to junior JT Daniels, had to replace Daniels in the starting lineup in the second-ranked Bulldogs’ home opener against UAB. Coach Kirby Smart said earlier this week that redshirt freshman Carson Beck was the Bulldogs’ No. 2 quarterback, but when Georgia needed a fill-in starter, Georgia’s coaches went with the veteran, someone that’s one of the few remaining on the roster from the Bulldogs’ run to the Rose Bowl and the National Championship Game in 2017.
“We just have a lot of young players who are trying to grow up and we thought it would give a calming effect to have him in with his experience and his ability to play in games,” Smart said of the decision to start Bennett.
Channing Tindall has an energy about him. When he walks in the room, you immediately get the sense that he’s happy to be there and happy to talk about anything and everything.
Tindall, a senior inside linebacker from Columbia, S.C., and the rest of the No. 2-ranked Georgia football team were certainly happy after last Saturday’s season-opening 10-3 win over then-No. 3 Clemson in the Duke’s Mayo Classic in Charlotte, N.C. The defense held the Tigers without a touchdown and to just 2 rushing yards. Tindall had three tackles in the win.
By Monday, of course, Georgia had turned its attention to Saturday’s home opener against UAB. During a Quick Chat after practice Tuesday, Tindall talked about moving on mentally to the next game, his mom’s cooking, attending Georgia after growing up in Gamecocks country, and much more. Here’s some of what he had to say:
Frierson: How long does the good feeling of a win over a team like Clemson stick around?
Team | 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | F |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
0 | 0 | 0 | 7 | 7 | |
21 | 14 | 14 | 7 | 56 |
ATHENS, Ga. — Quarterback Stetson Bennett IV completed his first five passes, for 245 yards and four touchdowns, and the No. 2-ranked Georgia football team was rolling early Saturday in the Bulldogs’ 56-7 win over UAB at Sanford Stadium.
Georgia’s return to Dooley Field for the first time since Nov. 21, 2020, was about as triumphant as it could get. Saturday’s home opener was at full capacity and there was much to cheer about from the very outset.
Bennett, the redshirt senior starting for the sixth time in his career, in place of junior JT Daniels, completed a 73-yard touchdown pass on the second play from scrimmage. He hit wide-open sophomore wide receiver Jermaine Burton on the strike, setting the tone for the day. Four minutes later, after a stop by the Georgia (2-0) defense, Bennett connected with junior running back Kenny McIntosh for a 12-yard score and a 14-0 lead with 10:17 left in the first quarter.
Quick Summary: Second-ranked Georgia built a 35-0 halftime lead thanks to a quick-strike offense led by senior QB Stetson Bennett (10-for-12, career-high 288 yards, 5 TDs, 0 INT) who tied a school record with five TD passes as the Bulldogs posted a 56-7 win. The defense blanked the Blazers, limiting them to 174 yards on 53 plays. The UAB TD came on a pick-six with 5:02 left in the contest. Through two games, Georgia’s opponents have been held to just 10 points, the lowest since 2003 when they had 10.
For the second straight week Georgia’s defense did not allow any points through the first three quarters after shutting out No. 3 Clemson in a 10-3 win in Charlotte. Today was the first time since 2019 that Georgia posted back-to-back first half shutouts, doing it against Missouri and at Auburn. Georgia would beat Missouri here 27-0 and the Tigers 21-14 on the Plains. At 35-0, Georgia posted its biggest halftime lead since a 42-7 advantage over Murray State in 2019. With Georgia up 49-0, the Blazers entered the fourth quarter with 146 yards of total offense on 46 plays.
