UGA Recruiting: This Was a Big Flip for the Dawgs

“I’ve had a longstanding relationship with the staff,” Kelly told 247sports. “They offered me in January and we haven’t stopped communication. We have built a very strong relationship. Me, coach Donte’, coach T-Rob, it’s just the opportunity to be developed by them. [Donte’ Williams] has a track record of developing DBs in college and at the net level. I can play in the SEC and compete for a national championship every year. I’ll be around a program with a winning standard and you get developed to be the best player you can be.

“We were out at dinner,” continued Kelly, when asked about the moment he informed head coach Kirby Smart that he wanted to play at Georgia. “Just speaking to him and meeting him, he surprised me how easy he is to talk with. He’s Kirby Smart, so going into it you don’t expect him to be like that. He’s a great guy and a great family fan. He truly loves football and you can feel that when you speak with him. Speaking with him and coach Dante, I just told them this is where I want to be. It was an easy decision to make.”
