“No matter where I go, my mentality is to go compete for the starting job and get the starting job,” Montgomery recently told DawgsHQ. “That’s going to be super hard to do as a true freshman at a place like Georgia. That is going to be my mentality. I know that if Georgia ends up being the place, if I don’t start year one or two, I’d be perfectly fine knowing that I’m going to get developed and get those practice reps and when my number is called and the time is right, I’m going to go out there and perform really well.”
