Hayward told DawgsHQ – “It was on Wednesday, and I was at church, midservice. T-Rob [Travaris Robinson] texted me and said, ‘I’m going to call you in a little bit.’ A couple minutes went by, church was over, and people were just sitting around talking,” he said. “My phone started vibrating, and I saw it was T-Rob, so I answered. He’d text me earlier in the day to tell me that he and Kirby had talked, so we needed to talk now. The whole day, I was wondering what it was about. When he finally called, he told me he and Kirby talked and that they wanted to offer me a scholarship to the University of Georgia. I was like, ‘Woah. No way.’ With me being a South Georgia kid and in-state, who wouldn’t want to play for their home team?”
