UGA Recruiting: It’s Never a Bad Thing When the #1 Player in the Nation Mentions Family When Talking About Being recruited

“We have a great relationship,” Griffin told On3. “It’s not only coach Scott, but me and coach (Glenn) Schumann and coach Kirby (Smart) as well. They have a really good relationship with my mom, they talk almost every day. They make me feel like I’m at home and I’m part of their family. It’s not that they want me for a football player, but they want me for being myself.”

“Me being the player that I am, I compare myself to Jalon Carter, Travon Walker, guys I’ve watched at my position being coached by coach Scott and drafted in the first round,” Griffin said. “I kind of relate to that. I feel like I could fit in their defense and be a dominant player early on.”
