“They didn’t keep you on the sidelines,” Sanders told On3. “Coach Searels told me during the meeting that he didn’t want me with everyone else but that he wanted me standing next to him. Then and there, I knew he wanted me to hear him coaching his guys.
“One thing I liked about Coach Searels is that he didn’t do any drills that were unnecessary. Every drill they did translated to the practice plan and I really liked that.”
“He was walking around and checking on everyone,” Sanders said. “He’d get on the microphone and everything he said echoed throughout the practice facility so if you mess up on a rep, you’re going to know it. It was really, really funny.
