Mitchell recently spoke with On3 – “Coach [Kirby] Smart and Coach [Scott] Cochran. It’s those two, and then, I’m close with some of the recruiting staff, too. Mainly, it’s Coach Cochran, though. We talk a lot,” Mitchell said. “We’ve got a great relationship, and we talk like every week. His message to me has been that they need me. They need dogs and players who know how to win.”
“I wouldn’t say they do anything different than any other school. They just show love. It’s just a great atmosphere in Athens, and I’ve really always liked Georgia since I first got the offer in eighth grade. Me and Coach Smart have built a great relationship since then,” Mitchell said. “I had a great relationship with Coach [Dan] Lanning when he was there. The family atmosphere is there, and everyone shows love. That makes Georgia a top school for me and somewhere I could see myself playing.”
