Mims’ head coach Von Lassiter told Dawgs247 – “I think he is really, really impressed with them. He really feels like they care a lot about him. I think he has a really good relationship. I know that he and coach Pittman were really close, but it was not long after he left that Amarius said ‘you know Coach Luke is a really good dude.’ I think that he feels confident in them, but at the same since he knows with big-time programs, those guys are going to be head coaches at some point. I’ve tried to tell him, you need to make sure you don’t get locked in with a coach you need to get locked in with a university.
“Because that changes – he saw his high school offensive line coach for two and a half years just left for a head job. Guys who do a good job at a big-time program like Coach Pittman and Coach Luke are going to be afforded coordinator and head-coaching jobs. But as far as his relationship with Coach Luke and Georgia, I think it is really good right now.”
