UGA Football: Kirby Smart Makes Massive Hire for the Last On-Field Coaching Position

Kirby Smart has filled the last on-field open coaching spot by hiring Alabama strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran. It is thought that Cochran might be the special teams coordinator, although nothing has officially been announced. If you remember, Cochran is one of the first hires Kirby tried to make when he took the head coaching position at UGA. At the time, we tried to get him to make the lateral move and lead the strength and conditioning in Athens. Cochran and Kirby have been very close, beginning with their time together at Alabama.
