“In the spring, Georgia reached out to my high school coach. From there, I got an offer in May,” Washington told On3. “I was happy to know they offered me. It’s SEC football, and they’re one of the top teams.”
“Honestly, I will get messages from Coach [Will] Muschamp or [Jahmile] Addae during the week at times. The standard check-in and well wishes for my upcoming high school game,” Washington said. “They talk to me more about Georgia football in general about their program and game of that week. It’s nothing in detail about my role or any of that from either so far. Other elite programs that I’m in contact with often are making it point to specify how I fit.”
